Crispy Mashed Potato Fries Recipe


These Mashed Potato Fries are a crispy, cheesy twist on a classic favourite! Made with fluffy mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, garlic, and spices, they’re piped into perfect fry shapes and deep-fried until golden and crunchy. These Mashed Potato Fries and Insanely Good!


Ingredients


500g x Potatoes

60g x Cheddar Cheese (Grated)

2 x Cloves of Garlic (Crushed)

4g x Salt

Good Grind of Black Pepper

60g x Cornflour/Cornstarch

4g x Paprika

2g x Dried Oregano

Oil for Deep frying


Method


Peel and cut the potato into small chunks. Place into a pan of salted cold water and bring to a boil. Cook for 20 minutes or until fully cooked through


Drain and mash the potatoes and then add in the grated cheese, crushed garlic, salt, black pepper, cornflour, paprika and dried oregano. Mix until fully combined. 


Place it into a piping bag and pipe it into thin fry-sized strips onto a wooden board or parchment paper. 


Heat your oil to 180°C and fry in batches until golden and crisp - usually 2 minutes.
