Mulled Wine Recipe + Alcohol-Free Mulled Cranberry Juice | Easy Step-by-Step

Mulled Wine & Mulled Cranberry Juice

Mulled Wine

Ingredients

1 x Bottle Red Wine

1 x Orange, Sliced

40g x Brown Sugar (adjust to taste)

1 tsp x Vanilla Bean Paste or Extract (optional)

2 x Cinnamon Sticks

6 x Cloves

2 x Star Anise

4 x Slices Fresh Ginger

Method

Pour the red wine into a saucepan and place over a low heat.

Warm gently until the wine is just steaming – do not let it boil.

Stir in the brown sugar and adjust the sweetness later if needed.

Add the vanilla (optional), cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, sliced orange, and ginger.

Leave the wine to infuse over a very low heat for 10–15 minutes, keeping it below boiling point so the alcohol doesn’t evaporate.

Remove from the heat, cover with a lid, and let it sit for another 30 minutes to infuse further.

Strain if desired and serve warm. Garnish with fresh cranberries, orange slices, or cinnamon sticks.
